      Description

Syrah and Shiraz – same grape, different name. This popular variety grows well in multiple regions and creates many different styles of wine. In this collection, six wines from top Syrah winegrowing regions around the globe display the flavor and profile of each country. When you taste these spicy, full-flavored reds, you'll see why this variety has exploded in popularity.

      Representing each region:

      California: Voss VV2 Syrah
The ideal climate at Voss' vineyard in Rutherford produces Syrah rich in flavor and texture. On the palate, this wine offers bright berry flavors complemented by vanilla and toast notes.

Rhone: Jaboulet Les Jalets Crozes Hermitage
Jaboulet exemplifies robustness and elegance, which are essential qualities of great Rhone wines. This Syrah is round and supple with fleshy tannins and a long fruity finish.

Washington State: Columbia Crest Grand Estates Syrah
Columbia Crest's wines are consistently recognized for their quality by leading wine publications. This wine exhibits a terrific balance between fruit and cocoa flavors and a lush, lingering finish.

      Australia: d'Arenberg Footbolt Shiraz
d'Arenberg produces exquisite wines that are a credit to both the winery and the McLaren Vale region. The Footbolt Shiraz has terrific fruit and oak tannins providing great texture to support plum, blackcurrant and rolling blackberry flavors.

      Chile: Santa Rita Reserva Shiraz
This Shiraz comes from the Maipo Valley, one of the finest wine producing regions in the world. Its supple flavor is perfectly combined with ripe, smooth tannins and a well rounded balance ending in a sleek and lingering finish.

      South Africa: Porcupine Ridge Syrah
Porcupine Ridge is one of the brands produced by the prestigious Boekenhoutskloof winery. This Syrah is dominated by spicy tones yet supported by dark fruit flavors.
