Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

On the nose Citrus and subtle cashew notes with soft minerality and great freshness. Clean & minerally. On the palate Good texture and roundness on the middle palate, linear acidity with wonderful length and precision.

Critical Acclaim

"Light straw-green; an immaculately balanced chardonnay, fragrant and pure; white peach fruit, a hint of mineral and subtle barrel ferment French oak combine seamlessly, giving the wine both elegance and length."

having spent time at Yering Station on a recent trip to OZ, I fell in love with both their wine making and their wines. The Chardonnay is a real winner. ANd, at almost 1/2 of the list price in OZ, I almost hate sharing this one lest there is none left for me to enjoy with friends.
