Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

Yarden Sauvignon Blanc shows off bright notes of fresh lime, kiwi and hints of guava. Its green tropical character, medium body and fresh finish make the wine very drinkable and enjoyable.

Sauvignon Blanc is best consumed within a couple of years of harvest. We enjoy Yarden Sauvignon Blanc along with all sorts of foods. Try with Mexican style gazpacho, spiced with a bit of cumin, lime juice and chipotle chili pepper. We also like to sip along with marinated chicken breasts right off a charcoal grill or off the same grill whole rainbow trout, with three diagonal cuts on each side of the fish, rubbed inside and out with a mixture of olive oil, red chili flakes, and crushed dried herbs. Finish the trout with a healthy squeeze of lemon.

A top choice for a Sauvignon Blanc. Might possibly be the best one I've had so far from Wine.com. I would recommend this to any white wine drinker.
