We offer two ways to locate information:
We have added the following products to your shopping cart from a previous visit:
Red wines that are more fruit-forward and lighter in tannin and body.
Medium bodied reds that go down easy, with smooth tannins and supple fruit.
Wines where earthy and/or spicy dominate the flavors – typically medium to full body.
Full bodied wines that have concentrated fruit and are higher in alcohol and/or tannins. Some need age.
Shiraz from our estate vineyard adopts more of a cooler climate expression than the typical McLaren Vale style. Yangarra Shiraz is concentrated and complex with a heady illusion of sweet, dark fruit. The vineyard's elevation and cooler climate give rise to blackberry and black plum, savory herbs, spice with chicory and juniper tannins and the faintest whiff of harness leather.
"Deep red-purple; lush black fruits and dark chocolate on
the bouquet come through on the full-bodied palate, where
substantial tannins need time to soften somewhat, a process that I am sure will take place well before the fruit declines"

"Fine aromatics. Lovely, seductively opulent cassis fruit, tinged with incense and mint. Delicious palate, integrated and absorbed tannins that support sweet fruit. Top-class McLaren Vale Shiraz. Seamless and long."
"Very deep garnet-purple colored, the 2009 Shiraz has a pronounced nose of blackberry compote, blackcurrant cordial and chocolate box with touches of dried mulberries and mint. Concentrated on the medium to full bodied palate, the rich expressive fruit is nicely structured with firm chewy tannins and crisp acidity, finishing long."
