Crimson red with purple hues, the Yalumba Organic Shiraz 2010 is bursting with varietal aromas of plum, red cherry and mulberry with notes of violets and dried herbs. On the palate the flavours of plum, allspice and blueberries are supported by hints of milk chocolate. This is a fruit driven, medium bodied wine with fine, soft tannins and a bright, juicy, persistent finish. Drink now or cellar for up to three years. Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
"Not the darkest, biggest or richest Shiraz to ever come out of Australia, this is nevertheless a delightful wine. A green peppercorn note accents red raspberry and cherry fruit, with just a hint of vanilla in the background."
"With a production nearing one million dozen a year, the fiercely and proudly family-owned Yalumba has pushed the envelope in a multitude of ways across all wine styles and price points, and accordingly points the way for the future. This wine is made from family-owned, certified organic vineyards. Deep, bright purple-crimson, it has luscious plum and licorice flavours, and fine, savoury tannins. It has bypassed oak altogether, and is ready for drinking now."
