In the glass, the wine is pale gold with green tints. On the nose, there are lifted aromas of fresh quince, mandarin and white nougat with subtle hints of struck flint and smoky wild yeast complexity. Although finely wrought and tightly structured, this wine is still very textural on the palate. Creamy nougat, lemon zest and fresh nectarine flavors are underpinned by a restrained citrus acidity and subtle nuances of French oak which drive the palate to a refreshing, crisp finish.
Light & Crisp
Australia has quietly snuck up on the world and become a leading dark horse producer of world-class chardonnay. Crisp, clean, refreshing, minimal oak, the fruit shines through with "vibrant" intensity and length. Complete contrast to the styles popularized among 1990's Australian Chardonnay. Outrageous QPR.
