Winemaker's Notes

Dark red brick in color. The nose is filled with wonderful aromas of red cherries, a hint of cassis, fine leather and well integrated toasted oak notes. The mouth-feel is elegant and medium bodied with nice texture and concentration. Great play between ripe fruit and a mature tannin structure leads to a finish well balanced, with hints of licorice and dark chocolate.

Well balanced. Decently good wine. Sounds true: "...in cooler climates, at least, cabernet franc yields pleasingly crisp, somewhat rustic wines that stand in welcome contrast to your garden-variety fruit bombs,"- slate.com
