The 2006 Wolf Blass Gold Label Shiraz is a vibrant deep red in colour with purple hues. This wine exhibits lifted aromas of blueberries, blackberries and dark plums overlain with lifted anise and smoky oak. Full, round and soft, this wine shows excellent depth across the palate,
balanced with good acidity and fine, long tannins.
Pair with a warm, hearty dish such as slow roasted lamb shanks with tomato relish and creamy pepper mashed potatoes.
"This exhibits generous blackberry and raspberry fruit at the core, shading the edges with pretty white pepper, cream and floral overtones that insinuate themselves beautifully as the finish goes on and on. Drink now through 2016."
