We are excited to release our Witness Tree "Estate" Pinot Noir – the wine that is really a "snapshot" of our entire vineyard – which ultimately reflects the blending of the flavors and textures produced by the varying soil types, vine ages, clonal-selections and sun-exposures from our 52-acre vineyard. The wine itself is packed with succulent, forward black fruits with just the slightest hint of vanilla and spice. The season provided us with graceful and spirited Pinot Noir - the kind of beautiful wine that put Oregon on the world map of premier Pinot producers in the 1980's.
"Dense and focused, with a distinct minerality to the cherry and
cassis flavors, which keep dancing lightly through the refined,
harmonious finish. Needs time to soften the edges. Best from 2013 through 2020."
"The 2008 Pinot Noir Estate Willamette Valley offers up a fragrant perfume of earth notes/underbrush, spice box, incense, mineral, and red fruits. On the palate it is smooth-textured, intense, and concentrated with excellent volume. This lengthy effort can be approached now but will drink well for another 6-8 years"
