Wines of Chile Tasting Trio
More and more wine lovers are recognizing the diversity, high quality and great value Chilean wines have to offer. With an ideal climate and lots of international winemaking talent, this South American country has taken the wine industry by storm. From crisp and grassy Sauvignon Blanc to fresh and fruity Pinot Noir to smoky and smooth Carmenere, Chile offers a variety of flavor profiles for every palate.
- Errazuriz Sauvignon Blanc
Very pale and slightly greenish-yellow in colour with aromas of tropical fruit such as cherimoya, notes of green apple, and a nice balance between the fruit and the variety's herbaceous characteristics. The crisp acidity on the fresh palate heightens the tropical notes, although the nose features a more herbal profile.
- Cono Sur Pinot Noir
Dressed in fresh purple red colour, this is a voluptuous Pinot Noir with rich fruit notes of cherry, raspberry, plum and strawberry – a red fruit party! – enhanced by subtle smoked hints. In mouth sweet fruit notes stand out, and its fine tannins give it a great texture and a mouth filling structure.
- Casa Silva Reserva Carmenere
Authentic Chilean style. A blend of concentrated blackberry and plum softened by some red fruit character. Distinctive dried herbal and white pepper spice character. A superb balance of full fruit, good acidity, sweet French oak, and full tannins on the long lingering finish.
