This vintage is our most profound expression of Windward Vineyard's potential. It contains all four characteristics that we believe are the apogee of the pinot noir varietal transformed into wine. A profound wild strawberry nose, ripe bing cherry fruit in front of the wine, a hearty middle with a satin mouth and a complex lingering finish; all characterized by finesse and elegance. Windward Vineyard is a small family winery dedicated exclusively to the growth and production of estate bottled Burgundian-style Pinot Noir. Owners Marc and Maggie are convinced that the sites rocky limestone, sloping well-drained soil and microclimate of the west side of the Paso Robles appellation had all the elements required to produce exceptional Pinot Noir.
