Complex layered aromas of vanilla, black cherry, celery seed, crushed white pepper, barrel toast, nutmeg, graham crackers, barrel spices, and a warm sweet sensation. Flavors mirror aromas with barrel oak flavors of toast and spices which are well integrated into big-structured wine. Ripe but youthful tannins (characteristic of the vineyard) which will soften with time. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy-bodied, with mouthcoating flavors. Good overall balance of fruit, oak, extract and tannins. The finish is long and mouth coating with flavors of barrel toast/bacon fat, with good acid balance.
