Winemaker's Notes:
The color is dark, clean and appealing. The nose is bright, with a touch of sweetness, followed by aromas of blackberries, cherries, vanilla and nuances of earth and oak from the barrels. The mouth is very complex, opening with the same black fruits that were expressed in the nose followed by layers of red fruit, caramel, and hints of roasted coffee and spices. The tannins are round, but very present and will integrate gracefully with a bit of time. The finish is moderately long and well balanced. The wine can be paired with heartier fish such as grilled tuna, as well as poultry, red meat and vegetable dishes. |
