Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

The wine has aromas of fresh lime juice, stone fruits and herbs. On the palate, lime, nectarine, grapefruit, floral and apple flavors are rich and rounded with bright citrus-edged acidity leading to a clean, dry finish. This wine is a great aperitif and pairs well with fresh green salads and seafood.

Blend: 86% Sauvignon Blanc, 10% Riesling, and 4% Viognier

We weren't going to hunker down in one place and just make the best wines that we could from that place. Oh no. What we wanted to produce - and what we do produce - are wines that represent the best flavours of New Zealand, from north to south, east to west.
