Our 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits aromas of cedar, mocha and caraway seed with fruit flavors reminiscent of baked plum and cherry pie. The finish is supple, with fine-grain tannins providing an elegant mouthfeel. After extensive blending trials, a small portion of Malbec and Cabernet Franc were included so as to accentuate the fruit and spice characters of the finished wine.
Given the wine' s forward fruit and supple character, this Cabernet Sauvignon is a welcome tableside companion at your favorite steakhouse or trattoria. This wine is also a perfect accompaniment to a wide range of home prepared grilled foods and hearty stews.
Located south of Paso Robles in Templeton, California, Wild Horse Winery was founded in 1983 by Ken Volk.
