Alcohol By Volume: 14.1%
Alcohol By Volume Guide
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.
The 2006 vintage of Vinifera Vineyards "Vitis" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits notes of white chocolate, bay leaf, tobacco and sweet tannins combined with fresh blue and black fruits. This wine is incredibly rich and multilayered and has a finish that stays on the palate for several minutes. On the nose, this wine tells a story of Rutherford Dust, and intensity not found in anything at this price point.
"Here’s a young, vital, impressive 100% Cabernet. It’s dry, full-bodied and rich in classic flavors of blackberries, black currants, graphite and minerals, wrapped into silky tannins. Superb oak integration lends notes of vanilla and sandalwood. Just gorgeous in the mouth, filled with class and elegance. Now–2014, at least. "
Smooth & Supple
Pasta > Mushroom, Pasta > Meat, Beef > Mushroom, Beef > Burgers, Lamb > Herbs, Chicken > Mushroom
A full-bodied, fruity wine. This wine was not as dry to me as its description. It was a little sweet and not as heavy as some cabs, but it was still very nice. A good wine to buy again!

The Napa wine industry really took off in the 1980's, when vineyard...
