Winemaker's Notes

Villa Matilde Greco di Tufo is a straw yellow color. The intense, persistent, appealing nose of white peach, apricots and sweet almonds on a mineral background melds into elegant, mellow complexity. This wine is rich and structured on the palate, as well as fresh and characterful, yet never aggressive.

Critical Acclaim

"The 2011 Greco di Tufo is one of the more varietally expressive, nuanced whites among the Villa Matilde's entry-level offerings. Rich yellow-fleshed fruit, smoke, incense and ash emerge from the glass. There is an intensity and power in the 2011 that is quite striking and that also distinguishes the Greco from some of the other entry-level wines in the estate’s range."
