Our DARE by Viader wines aim to please the "younger at heart" without pretense and are enjoyable young, from the first to the last drop. DARE by Viader Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of select barrels from our estate vineyards on Howell Mountain and fruit sourced from Lewelling Vineyards in St. Helena.
Opening with intense red fruits, from cherries to currant, raspberry and dried strawberries. Fruit-forward with aromas of white chocolate, and cedar. Bright acidity and minerality in the mid-palate. Silky tannins. Spice box and clove notes on the finish from the French Oak barrels.
The Viader Estate has 30 acres planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Petit Verdot. Founded in 1987, Viader is located northeast of St. Helena, at 1200 feet above the Napa Valley floor, on Howell Mountain. Their organically farmed vineyards, established by Delia Viader on land acquired by her father in the early 1980s, produce limited quantities of Bordeaux-style red wines and Syrah.
