The 2010 Twomey Anderson Valley Pinot Noir has a brilliant color of red rose petals and a nose of wild strawberries, raspberries, roses, violets and a hint of bay leaf. The palate explodes with fresh ripe berries and floral notes, and progresses to a velvety midpalate
followed by a long finish that echoes with the wild brambly fruit found in the nose.
"All of the parts haven't yet come together: The oak, acidity, fruit and tannins hover around, but they're not quite completely harmonious yet. Still, it’s very rich, with a massive black-cherry core. It seems to have all the components for a little time in the cellar."
"Wrapped up in itself at the moment, this wine gives glimmers of brightness under earth tones and coffee scents of oak. The structure is tight, yielding scents of strawberries and figs in the finish. Cellar it for a year or two or decant the wine to open it up for a steak."
