Winemaker's Notes

The 2005 Two Angels Petite Sirah is "dark as the night" and boasts savory aromas of dark berry, violets, pomegranate, tamarind and roasted game. Abundant fruit flavors are nicely integrated with toasted oak and roasted coffee undertones. What is especially alluring, given the dark color and ample, rich tannins, is the round, almost silky mouthfeel and the pleasing, lingering finish.

Serve at room temperature with robust dishes, including beef, venison, turkey, game birds and semi-soft or hard cheeses.

Learn About Two Angels

Two Angels, a line of Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah and Petite Sirah owned by the Kreps family, with grapes coming from the renowned Shannon Ridge vineyards in the High Valley AVA, Lake County, California.

Yet, wine-wise they are very different - both from their southern neighbors and from each other. Notable Facts Mendocino...

Learn About Petite Sirah

Petite Sirah(peh-TEET seer-AH) Not So Small There is nothing petite about this grape. Petite Sirah, the result of a crossing between Syrah and Peloursin, is also known as Durif. Being the father, Syrah imparted some of its flavors and characteristics to its offspring, but the two grapes are decisively different. Petite Sirah is mostly found in California, where it gained...
