Our newest release, the 1996 Turning Leaf Coastal Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, builds on the success of the past vintages. Our winemakers chose grapes primarily from the Paso Robles area of San Luis Obispo County for this Cabernet Sauvignon because of their diverse fruit flavors. The Paso Robles area is characterized by warm clear days and nights cooled by marine breezes. These cool nights allow the fruit longer hang time producing grapes with intense varietal flavors. When vintified, these flavors combine to create a wine with layers of fruit and herbs. A full-bodied, flavorful wine, this Cabernet delivers balanced layers of red berries, black cherry, and cloves. Soft tannins and subtle hints of oak add complexity to this tasty companion to steak, leg of lamb, and your chocolate dessert of choice.
