The 2006 Old Bull blends the lush berry flavors of Merlot (44%), the lighthearted red fruit of Tempranillo (18%) and Sangiovese (16%), the power and richness of Cabernet Sauvignon (9%), Cabernet Franc (5%), the black fruit of Barbera (6%), Syrah (2%) - all blended to achieve amazing complexity and decadent richness.
I took a chance on this as part of a bigger order with some $50+ cabs. This is just a good, enjoyable bottle of wine. Pleasant, complex nose, the earthiness of tempranillo and sangiovese. For $20, I'll get this again and again.
