Winemaker's Notes:
Our 2007 Napa Valley Merlot is crafted largely from our exceptional Fortuna Vineyard. Restrictive red volcanic soils yield wines that are inherently concentrated and spicy. Deep and rich in color, this wine possesses a fantastic bouquet of cherry extract, sun-ripened black berries, black tea and dried figs. In your mouth, the tannins create a rich tapestry with flavors of dark cherries, farm-ripened strawberries, toasted oak and lifted vanilla notes. A wine that finishes with remarkable length, with lingering dark fruit intensity and velvety tannins.
