Turley Dragon Zinfandel 2007
Zinfandel from Napa Valley, California
The Wine AdvocateThe 2007 Zinfandel Dragon Vineyard possesses good ripeness, full-bodied power, and sweet, pure black cherry and currant aromas intermixed with spring flowers, incense, and crushed rocks. This is another high elevation effort with plenty of power, generosity, and was obviously picked at the perfect moment for phenolic maturity.
International Wine CellarGood medium ruby. Urgent aromas of crushed berries and licorice. Dense, pliant and sweet, with surprising lift to the lush berry flavors. This rich, concentrated, chocolatey wine really spreads out to saturate the palate. The long finish features floral and spicy nuances. These vines are situated downslope from Rattlesnake and are planted on richer soil.

Alcohol By Volume GuideMost wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.
