#55 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2009
This Riesling is a great classic of Alsace. At once delicate and vital, its intense fruit is given great length by a backcome of crisp acidity producing some of the world's greatest and longest tasting wines.
Alsatian Riesling are usually dry, in order to match with food. Riesling is particularly conveniant with sushis, fish, grilled or with sauce, traditional alsatian meals such as the onion pie or sauerkraut.
Light & Crisp
Trimbach never makes a bad wine. This is a really good alsatian riesling.
Not much to say here, a true example of an Alsace riesling, low residual sugar, nice clean crisp fruit, apple, citrus, and some minerality. Good every time.
