Winemaker's Notes:

 2009 was an excellent, even-keeled vintage in Napa Valley. Consistently mild weather throughout the growing and harvest seasons resulted in stress-free vines, long grape hang times, and fruit with finely developed flavors at lower-than-normal sugar levels.

Our 35th vintage of Napa Valley Riesling – yup, we've been making it since Gerald Ford was President! – is mesmerizingly fresh and fragrant with gorgeous jasmine, litchi, green apple, honeyed white peach, ruby red grapefruit and slate aromas. Dry, but succulent, its racy apple, kiwi, lime, guava and quince flavors are powered by bright, mouthwatering acidity and a refreshing minerality that animates the wine's long, lively finish. California Riesling at its finest!

About Trefethen Vineyards:

 Built in 1886, John and Janet Trefethen began restoring what is today the Trefethen winery in 1973. A national historic landmark and the only wooden gravity-flow winery in the Napa Valley, Trefethen is also one of Napa's largest estate wineries, with its 600 acres of vineyards surrounding the winery. The Trefethen family creates Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Riesling as well as limited quantities of Library Selection Chardonnay, Library Selection Cabernet Sauvignon and Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon.
