We have added the following products to your shopping cart from a previous visit:
Red wines that are more fruit-forward and lighter in tannin and body.
Medium bodied reds that go down easy, with smooth tannins and supple fruit.
Wines where earthy and/or spicy dominate the flavors – typically medium to full body.
Full bodied wines that have concentrated fruit and are higher in alcohol and/or tannins. Some need age.
The 2007 Factor displays the concentration and fruit purity that only the most meticulous farming can achieve. Delicate scents of wild blackberries, pipe smoke and pepper are supported
by a dark core of espresso roast, black currants and coal. The palate offers tremendous texture and combines great richness with subtle notes of olive tapenade, saddle leather and minerals. Brooding and densely packed, this majestic wine has the constitution to cellar for many years where it will slowly unravel its extravagant riches.
"Good colour; a complex and evocative bouquet with abundant black fruits and a touch of licorice, then a generous, ripe palate. It is perfectly legal to use 15% of ’08 vintage wine - I have no idea whether this was done, but it wouldn't surprise if it was. Shiraz."
Australian Wine Companion
"The 2007 The Factor is a 100% Shiraz cuvee. Alluring notes of game, bacon, incense, and blueberry lead to a ripe, layered, complex wine lacking the opulence of top vintages such as 2002, 2004, and 2005. Nevertheless, this is an outstanding wine that will be at its best from 2013 to 2022."
