Titus Zinfandel 2000

The 2000 vintage began with a mild winter and average rainfall. Early summer heat in late May and June led to average temperatures in July and August, allowing for extended, even ripening period. A heat wave in early September helped grapes attain full ripeness, resulting in an early harvest. The 2000 Napa Zinfandel reveals aromas of bright cherry with undertones of aromatic plum and coffee bean. On the palate, the wine reveals round, mouth-coating flavors of toasty oak, sweet vanilla, layers of raspberries, pomegranite, licorice and a clean, lingering finish.
