The 1999 growing season started with lingering rain and unseasonably cool weather but finished warm and dry with a long Indian summer punctuated by warm southern winds. The result was a smaller crop of ripe concentrated fruit harvested from our family vineyard.
Incorporating all five Bordeaux varietals, the 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon displays subtle layers of complexity. Notes of cherry, cola and cocoa powder intermingle on the nose, while even tannins glide over the palate revealing flavors of ripe cherry, cassis and chocolate.
