This is the Asado wine you have been searching for! Deep blackcurrant and oak aromas with opaque red/purple color. Flavors of black cherry liqueur, red currants, and a touch of black tea. Lush without seeming heavy, the wine seems to unfold in layers, keeping the palate excited well past the lengthy finish. Plenty of tannin for aging without any harsh astringency.
This Cabernet lover's dream pairs well with most fine food presentations like duck in a fruit sauce, leg of lamb persillade, Osso Buco, and even a simple filet mignon. Also complements medium-strong cheeses (French, Italian, goat) or dishes prepared with mushroom or cream sauces.
"The 2009 Jubilo is a blend of 60% Malbec and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 16 months in French and American oak. Aromas of pain grille, pencil lead, exotic spices, violets, black currant, and blackberry inform the nose of a savory, structured, layered, incipiently complex offering that will benefit from another 2-3 years of cellaring. Drink this nicely proportioned, lengthy effort from 2013 to 2024. "

"Bright red-ruby. Licorice and chocolatey oak dominate the nose. Very ripe and thick but also juicy and serious, with a flavor of raspberry liqueur supported by serious tannic structure. Less confectionery than the Patriota or Jubilo bottlings, and a bit less easygoing today. Finishes broad, round, lush and fairly tannic, with strong chocolatey oak tones and good energy. This held up nicely with extended aeration."
