    Winemaker Notes

The color is vibrant with a crisp and subtle green hue. The bouquet is of dried herb and gunflint compliment gooseberry, passionfruit and pungent grassy aromas. On the palate there is flaovro of lime zest and white floral notes are framed by a structured yet supple mid palate. Mouth-watering acidity with the Awatere's signature mineral background complete the persistent finish.
Food Matching: Panfried calamari with coriander served with sourdough bread.

The Crossings The Crossings Vineyard Winery Image

Beneath the towering peak of Mt. Tapuae-o-Uenuku, where early settlers crossed the fast-flowing Awatere River, these three distinct riverside vineyards produce wines of intense varietal character and vibrant acidity. Sustainably grown in the premium sub-region of the Awatere Valley, The Crossings range of wines are a pure and elegant expression of Marlborough.

The Crossings award-winning wines are estate grown and express the intense fruit and mineral flavors that make Awatere Valley wine such a distinctive experience

Recognized for its distinctively herbaceous and aromatic, Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand is perfectly suited to the grape with its maritime climate, plenty of rainfall and abundant sunshine. Producers have almost unilaterally embraced cutting-edge winery technology, resulting in clean, high-quality wines at every price point from wallet-friendly to premium. Sauvignon blanc is at its best in Marlborough but thrives throughout as the country. It is New Zealand’s most planted and successful variety, also accounting for an overwhelming majority of its exports.
