Winemaker's Notes:
The 2002 Wurtele Vineyard captures the distinct character of Terra Valentine's estate vineyard in a great vintage in the
Spring Mountain District. The warm growing season fully ripened the Cabernet to express the rich dark
fruit and spice characters that give this wine its unique qualities. This pure clone 7 Cabernet selection was
aged in French oak barrels for 22 months with 40% new barrels.
Aromas: Concentrated cassis, anise, and black
jam fruit with mint, cocoa and earthy caramel.
Mouth: Intensely focused black fruit with bright,
yet dark and rich tannins balance with toasty oak,
cocoa and coffee bean. |
