Winemaker's Notes

Varietal Composition: 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, 6% Syrah

Winemaker Graham Weerts handcrafted this wine exclusively from Stonestreet's Alexander Mountain Estate vineyards. Powerful and layered, this Cabernet Sauvignon is a fitting representation of the complicated, and rugged Alexander Mountain terroir. This epic mountain's cooler temperatures and lean, rock-strewn soils yield wines of concentrated flavor, color and exceptional complexity.

"Ruby-red. Suave and intensely aromatic, with lush cherry and cassis aromas underscored by gentle oak spice notes. Silky in texture, with sweet cherry compote and blackcurrant flavors, soft tannins and impressive power on the finish. Sweet and impressively seamless cabernet." -Steven Tanzer's, International Wine Cellars

The atmosphere of Sonoma is decidedly laid back and down home country style. But in wines, they are keeping up with the...

Perhaps that title is due to its ability to grow worldwide in a number of climates, or to the fact that it produces wine with such character yet such diversity. Either way, this grape is responsible, as a whole or a partner, for some of the greatest wines in the world. In Bordeaux,...
