Winemaker's Notes:

This is an immediately enjoyable and quaffable wine that offers great value. Rich flavors of currant and dark ripe fruit are rounded out by aromas of coffee and black pepper. The 2007 Stone Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon is a great pick for a casual wine – full of black fruit flavors with a smooth finish, it is sure to pair well with any occasion.

Traditional winemaking techniques were used for the 2007 Stone Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon in order to focus on the varietal's juicy black fruit flavors. Half the wine was aged in French and American oak barrels for eight months which imparted flavors of brown spice and aromas of vanilla. At blending, Petite Syrah was added to give the wine a rich ruby color, and a firm backbone of tannins. Flavors of cassis, cola and dark fruits fill out this smooth and satisfying wine.
