Alcohol By Volume: 12.5%

Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

This Pinot Noir has a vibrant, bright red color with purple hues. The bouquet is one of dark cherry, plum, and red berries with hints of spice. The fresh red berries are evident on the palate with mulberry and spice.

Critical Acclaim

"Light, amber-rimmed red. Spicy, intensely floral aromas of strawberry and cherry, with hints of mint and white pepper. Light-bodied red fruit flavors are silky and focused, with good mineral snap and a hint of cinnamon. I suspect that many will find this wine too light but I like its graceful, light touch and spicy character."
88 Points

"Bright colour; a light spicy/savoury style which needs more mid-palate vinosity."
