Intense and complex fruit aromas of cherry, red plum, and pomegranate, with notes of cigar box, cardamom, and toasted oak lead to an equally complex palate and refreshingly brisk finish. The flavors mirror the aromas, with additional notes of chocolate, vanilla and dark spice.
The tannins are supple yet have good grip, suggesting that this Merlot be served with hearty, meaty dishes such as rack of lamb, cherry-sauced duck, or a mushroom and herb ragout over polenta.
