This fourth bottling of ARCADIA VINEYARD continues to win praise for defining the new style of California Chardonnay. We avoid heavy-handed winemaking techniques, instead using malolactic fermentation with restraint and aging in third- and fourth-use French oak barrels, so that the natural varietal characteristics and the vineyard terroir are fully expressed in the glass. The wine offers aromas of jasmine tea and kefir lime with hints of lychee nut. In the mouth, flavors of vanilla biscuit, Meyer lemon, and kumquat dance across the palate with a very light, clean texture with a hint of creaminess, ending in a crisp, bright finish. Pair with shrimp ravioli in saffron cream sauce or baked goat cheese served with baby greens.
