 A perennial favorite on restaurant wine lists, Artemis is generous in flavor and velvety in texture. Aromas of cassis and caramel rise and give way to earthy notes of black olive, black pepper, and truffles. Classic flavors of cassis and black cherry fill the mouth as notes of violets and vanilla linger on the finish.

Enjoy this wine with braised short ribs on a cold winter's night or with a porcini and gorgonzola burger for you gourmet grillers.

About Stag's Leap Wine Cellars:

 Founded in 1972, this family-run winery is named for the Stags Leap district of Napa. It first came to world-wide recognition in 1976 when the 1973 Stag's Leap Cabernet Sauvignon won a very famous Paris tasting including major French Bordeaux and Burgundy wines. Stag's Leap Wine Cellars is most famous for their Cabernets; the neighboring Stag's Leap Winery (now owned by Beringer) is most famous for their Petite Syrah.
