Winemaker Notes
The fruit for this Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested during the cool hours of early morning to maximize fresh flavors. Crush occurred in our cellar prior to fermentation and maceration on the skins, after which the wines were drained and pressed to barrels for maturation. Nineteen months later, the wines went through final evaluation to complete the blend.
This is a very elegant and balanced wine with nicely focused black cherry and currant flavors on the palate. Hints of cinnamon, decar, vanilla and mocha give the wine additional complexity and grace. While approachable now, this wine will age nicely over the next 10 to 15 years.

This is a extraordinarily fine Cabernet Sauvignon, easily St. Supery's best in memory. It's made in a completely different style from the prevailing cult model, being fully dry, lower in alcohol, and maintaining a tannic structure framing blackberry and currant flavors that are notably balanced with herbs and tobacco. Will get better and better. Call it Bordeaux-esque. Now - 2017.
