Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

Vibrant pale straw with bright green hues. This wine showcases a delicate bouquet of spring blossoms, zesty lemons and limes. The palate is akin to refreshing flavors of citrus sorbet in between courses - with fantastic minerality and acid persistence! It displays great purity of aroma and flavor, coupled with succulent natural acidity and finesse.

This wine is delicious paired with freshly shucked oysters, is excellent with Asian style dishes or a great Pad Thai - and will beautifully complement all seafood dishes, particularly shellfish with lemon based sauces.

Drink while young, fresh and crisp or cellar up to eight years. The freshness of its youth is maintained excellently under screw cap. Typical of great Riesling, the wine has the pedigree, structure and acidity to develop and truly reward those with the virtue of patience.
