Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

Organically farmed and produced, this Riesling offers bright aromas of apricot and spice, with a hint of mineral carried through on the palate. The off-dry finish is clean and soft and the pure elegance of the varietal is fully captured in this bottling. A perfect aperitif or wine pairing with assorted cheeses.

Critical Acclaim

"The light gold-colored 2009 Naked Riesling exhibits a touch of mineral, petrol, spring flowers, and lemon. Just off-dry on the palate in a Kabinett style, this tasty effort is well-balanced, refreshing, and an excellent value.

Snoqualmie is another winery owned by the Ste.-Michelle group. It produces wines from 100% certified organically grown fruit from the Columbia Valley. "
88 Points

"Made with organically-grown grapes, this soft, forward, fruity wine is designed for immediate enjoyment. The fruit flavors are solidly in the apple camp, rather than the riper peach or apricot, and there is a whiff of citrus in the nose. Best served chilled.

This is the best organic riesling offered by wine.com; unlike other wine descriptions that leave you wondering if the reviewer was drinking the same wine you are, this description is spot on. A lovely refined soft riesling with a hint of sweet and intense yet gentle flavors. Came back for a whole case.

I wanted to try this wine because, not only do I enjoy a good reisling, but this one is organic. Loved it from the moment I opened it up - even before it was cold! It is sweet, but not any more than most other reislings, and it has an easy-going feel on the palate - not overly complex. Definitely recommend this wine for the price!

So-So. Its a nice summer wine, a bit too oily for my taste. Not worth $14.99 that I paid for it. Should have been like $10
