#51 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2009
The 2007 Shiraz is a mouthful of ripe, juicy berries tempered by rustic, polished tannins. The
nose shows earthy gravel, spicy licorice and dense dark mulberries, while the sweet upfront berry
fruit presented on tasting gives way to more complex cedar, earth and spice notes, wrapping up
with ample structure and grip. The vibrant, juicy fruit runs the length of the palate and lingers
with a "have another glass" finish.
Polished, plush and generous with its cinnamon and citrus peel-accented plum and cherry flavors, hinting at roasted meat on the smooth finish. Drink now through 2015."
"Deep ruby. Smoky dark berries and cherry on the nose. A rich fruit bomb of a shiraz, offering sweet cassis and blackberry preserve flavors and a round, supple texture. Delivers real flavor impact and a long, gently spicy finish. This should be served with a grilled piece of red meat.
