Twelve barrels from Block 7, all Wadenswil clone, were hand-picked to create this wine. The long, warm growing season brought out the best in Wadenswil. Bright floral aromas dominate the nose while spicy notes of blackberry bramble and plum excite the palate. Prominent tannins add to the wines complexity and interest.
"The 2009 Pinot Noir Block 7 is made from Wadenswil clone. It displays greater spiciness in its expressive nose, plenty of fruit on the palate, and a lengthy, fruit-filled finish. It can be approached now but will last for another 8-10 years.
The Wine Advocate
"A bit grippy in texture, but the flavors sing with raspberry, chocolate and nutmeg notes that harmonize beautifully on the delicate finish. Best from 2013 through 2017. 269 cases made."
