Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.
Ratings Pedigree:

Winemaker's Notes

Clean, light straw color. Aroma of lemongrass, mango and gooseberry. Flavors of tropical, citrus and tangerines. Crisp, nicely balanced fullness with a lingering finish.

Critical Acclaim

"Pale green-gold hue. Fresh scents of lime, mineral and cut grass. Crisp acidity and juicy flavors of lemon and lime. Hints of grapefruit frame the refreshing close."

Alright, so if you have kids and it's a hot Philly day, and it's after 6PM, and you're just hangin out after some of them are in bed, it's humid, you're tired but don't care and want to chill, this wine is ok. Now, you aren't going to serve it to impress, but it's like a dirty secret- you serve it later after the good stuff is gone. But, it does kinda taste like like propane, so be ready.
