We've made Viognier from Talcott Vineyard for a number of years, and are very happy with the balance and varietal character the site offers. 2009 was a bit warmer than normal, with near average yields. I think of this wine as a "peach danish" in a glass: Sweet ripe peach, toasty creamy notes and beautifully soft and accessible. Light smoky and honeysuckle notes round out the aromas and flavors. Citrus takes a back seat to the stone fruits this vintage. This wine really reaches out to you in all regards: color, aroma, and palate.
"Sunny, just-cut peach aromas mark this vibrant viognier. On the palate there's tension between rich, almost creamy fruit and bright minerality, pushed along by a clean bolt of acidity. Serve with a bowl of glass noodles with crab.

Seven Hills Winery was established in 1988 to vinify some of the nation's finest wine grapes: those grown in the Walla Walla Valley Appellation. In 1989 we moved to our current facility in Milton-Freewater, on the southern edge of the Appellation. Our winemaking process is a customized, hand-crafted approach that follows the grape from vineyard, through fermentation, aging and bottling, into the marketplace. Our central focus is dedication to providing a memorable wine drinking experience. Limited production may make our wine more difficult to find but always worth the search.

The vast area consists of a range of climates, allowing viticulturists to plant a diverse selection of grape varieties. Most wineries plant rows sparsely, which...Read More About Columbia Valley
Viognier(vee-ohn-YAY) Viognier is best known for producing the rich, aromatic white wines of the Northern Rhone. Once a pricey commodity of the area, it's now much easier to find and drink. The perfumed grape creates wines of distinct aromas and flavors. Lower in acid and even lower yielding, Viognier kept to itself in Southern France until some traveling winemakers took hold of...Read More About Viognier
