 This elegantly crafted, balanced wine is marked by fine, pure, ripe blackberry and cassis flavors and aromas with notes of spice, cedar and discreet vanilla set in a silky texture supported by refined tannins.

"This is a dark, big, deeply flavored Cabernet whose tannic structure strongly suggests mid- to long-term aging. Bone dry, it has flashy flavors of black currants, dark chocolate and cedar. Very fine. Best 2010–2015, if not longer in a proper cellar." 93 Points

 Sequoia Grove is located in the prime Rutherford District of the California Napa Valley. Rutherford is renowned for producing some of America's finest quality Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The 24-acre estate is planted in Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pitit Verdot, Malbec, and Chardonnay vines. These choice vineyards yeilded their first estate bottled Chardonnay in 1980 and Cabernet Sauvignon in 1982 vintage. The Allen family's aim is to perserve the natural character and intensity of that extraordinary fruit from the vineyard.
