Colour: Deep, rich red with crimson hues.
Nose: Superb integration of fruit and oak provides a wine of unforgettable complexity. Ripe berry fruit and barrel fermentation have produced nutty, spicy aromas and as it breathes, more dark chocolate Cabernet and toasty, smoky oak characters are revealed.
Palate: This full bodied wine has great fruit intensity showing ripe berry, cassis, plums and earthy characters. It features skilful oak handling and soft attractive tannins with vanillin and berry flavours on the long, lingering finish.
Serving and Cellaring Suggestions: In the classic Dorrien style, this wine will age gracefully and reward careful cellaring. A wine with a great drinking future, it may also be enjoyed now with beef or venison.
