"Pinot Grigio's appeal can be traced to the distinct qualities it displays when grown in cooler climates. Our estate grown Pinot Grigio originates from soils rich in clay and pebbles. It ripens slowly under weather conditions tempered by the presence of fog. In 2002, these forces of nature prevailed and a modest crop was harvested in early September. Gentle, whole cluster pressing and a long, cool fermentation elicited fleshy fruit tones and Pinot Grigio's engaging, spicy, mineral-like qualities. Perfumed scents of baked cinnamon apples, ripe pears and anise precede flavors of the same - all dancing along this wine's crisp and moderately rich framework. Salute!."
