Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

This wine is a fruity Rheingau Riesling with nice acidity and noticeable, natural residual sugar.

Selective harvest, gentle processing of the must, systematic clarification, slow fermentation and careful finishing are the basics for this traditional Vollrads' Riesling.

This wine pairs great with dished like Sushi, Sashimi or Curries. The wine has perfect balance of acidity and natural sweetness and has the right characteristics to stand up to such exciting dishes. The low alcohol content in this wine makes it a perfect wine for the summer months.

Critical Acclaim

"Apricot pit and sweet spices on the nose. The refreshing acidity makes this kabinett appear light and elegant in spite of its subtly off-dry quality and richness. A perfect wine for a Sunday afternoon."
