Influenced by the lower yields of the 2003 growing season, the 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon displays the depth and intensity that can be drawn from the Rutherford appellation. Aromas of blackberry, cherry and a hint of nutmeg are present on the nose, expanded by additional berry, spice and toasty cedar flavors on the palate. Intricately structured, the tannins are firm on the palate, but well integrated, providing a lingering finish on a wine that is enjoyable now.
Big & Bold
REALLY surprised by this one. Ready to drink immediately and wish I had purchased more. This is one of my ideal Cabernets. Bold and fruity.
